DEPTHS AND HEIGHTS (EVRS 07)

Recalculating the depths and heights from the Mean Sea Level of the Baltic Height System (BHS77) into the European Vertical Reference System (EVRS07) and 
Lithuanian Height System (LHS07).  Depths shown on nautical charts will be reduced by 13 cm (-13 cm), depending on particular area. Heights will be increased by 13 cm (+13 cm).


ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE SEA AREA (ESSA):

The following activities are prohibited within the ESSA:
- Hydrodynamic processes that cause long term chemical changes to water, except vessels in transit;
- Disruption to seabed, incliuding dumping ;
- Construction below and above water level.

FISHING GROUND 

Caution is advised for transiting ships due to fishing gears that could obstruct shipping safety. Uncharted fishing nets may be laid in Lithuanian coastal areas inside the 20 m depth contour.


FORMER MINED AREA, OPENED TO NAVIGATION

Former Mined Areas, opened for navigation. Ships are not advised to anchor, trawl, dredge, proceed with a stack anchor or conduct other operations near the sea bed, because of danger of mines and other unexploded ordnances may exist.


SPOIL GROUND

Depths in Spoil Ground Areas may be less than charted.


HISTORIC WRECKS

The sites of historic wreck are protected from unauthorised exploration and interference. Zones of 150 to 500 m in radius have been established around such wrecks.


SUBMARINE CABLE

Anchoring, fishing and any underwater works are prohibited within a safety zone extending 100 m on both sides of the submarine cable.
