VESSEL TRAFFIC SERVICE IN FEHMARN BELT - VTS FEHMARNBELT
Ships are strongly advised to participate in the VTS and give notice on VHF channel 68 when entering the VTS area.
The report from the ship to the VTS should contain the following information: Ship's name and/or call sign, ship's draught, 
destination and planned route and any other safety related information deemed necessary.
Ships are requested to be standby on VHF channels 68 and 16 throughout the passage in the VTS area.
In addition to an hourly information service, which will be announced at minute "15" on VHF channel 68, 
the VTS will provide information and advice to individual ships on the traffic situation including traffic related to the construction work 
and how to pass the work areas.Two guard vessels will be standby near the work areas.
During the offshore activities, assistance tugs will be available in case of technical problems and to avoid drifting and possible collisions 
with stationary work vessels inside the work areas.
