The nearshore is fully or partially covered with rocks/coral reefs. Therefore, mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating close to the shore or in the vicinity of dangers.

Certain lights, beacons, buoys, wrecks and Rocks have been omitted from this chart; for detail of these, the larger scale charts and the List of Lights should be consulted.

During settled weather there are regular tidal streams, setting east on the flood, west on the ebb, from 1 to 2 Kn. With strong winds, however, the tidal streams are much interfered with and frequently reversed.
