CURRENTS

From June to September the general direction of flow is
south-easterly; from November to April it is north-westerly.
Rates are generally less than 0.5 knots. During May and
October there is no predominant direction of flow. There is
great local variability superimposed on this general pattern.
Eddies may cause both onshore and offshore sets and even
reverse the general direction of flow. Great caution should
be exercised at all times, particularly near reefs and shoals.
