RECOMMENDED ROUTES FOR SMALL CRAFT.
The landing area is dangerous, with few landmarks and difficult to navigate due to the abundance of rocks of all sizes, many of which uncover during low tides. Seafloor is mixed, mainly gravel and alluvial deposits with spots of coarse sand and seaweed of laminar biotype.
The landing beach can be used to ground craft. It is a part of the coastal shelf in the area, and it features sea elephant and seal populations that should be left unmolested to respect their habitat.

It is recommended that the coast is approached only by experienced skippers. In all cases, this area should be navigated with extreme caution, in good sea conditions, at low speeds and during the period between middle and high tide. It is desirable to approach the coast during rising tides. Clear skies cause clear waters, thus making it easier to identify the type of seafloor and consequently to evaluate the safety of navigation.
