Mariners are advised to use other methods to determine their position,
particularly when navigating close to the shore or in the vicinity of
dangers.
 
BUOYS AND BEACONS
Buoys and beacons marking the Suez Canal and approach 
channels may be temporarily removed, displaced or changed because of 
dredging or other operations. 

BEACONS IN THE SUEZ CANAL
The 9.0 metre depth contour throughout the 
canal is marked at varying intervals by charted buoyant beacons. 

MOORING BOLLARDS, With the exception of Great Bitter Lake, 
mooring bollards are placed on both sides of the canal.
