CURRENTS
In the channel above Garry Point, the flow during the freshet season is almost continually outward, being checked and occasionally reversed on the rise of the tide. During the low stage of the river, there is a flood and ebb on all large tides. Maximum outflow occurs during the freshet and may exceed 3 metres per second (6 knots) in the lower reaches between New Westminster and Sand Heads.

CURRENT VELOCITIES
