PRECAUTIONARY AREA
The port entrance at Maasgeul is part of the MAAS CENTRE precautionary area.
Passing traffic that is not entering or leaving the adjacent ports should avoid
the precautionary area. Anchoring in the precautionary area is not recommended.

DEPTHS AND AIDS TO NAVIGATION
The channel depths are liable to frequent change and the buoys are moved accordingly.
Charted details cannot always be relied upon.

DEPTHS IN HARBOURS
Depths in harbours and along quays are maintained by dredging.
For the latest information consult the pilot.

SUBMARINE CABLES AND PIPELINES
Mariners are advised not to anchor or trawl in the vicinity of submarine cables
and pipelines. Pipelines are not always buried and their presence may significantly
reduce the charted depth. They may also span seabed undulations and cause fishing gear
to become irrecoverably snagged, putting a vessel in severe danger.

NATURE RESERVES
Entry into the nature reserves shown on this chart is defined by numerous restrictions and prohibitions.
For further details see www.rwsnatura2000.nl.

PORT SIGNPOSTING SYSTEM
