Print on Demand (POD)
Mariners have trusted the high quality of British Admiralty charts for centuries. In addition to hand-corrected, up-to-date stock charts, we provide BA Print-on-Demand (POD) charts, produced at our office. At time of printing, POD charts are up to date with the latest Admiralty Notices to Mariners.
To produce a POD chart, E-Data LLC receives encrypted chart data files from the updated Admiralty database – this ensures safety and correctness of content. Charts are then printed on Admiralty-recommended printers, using Admiralty-provided paper.
This POD capability has enabled us LLC to reduce the stock of Admiralty charts. An increasing number of chart orders are fulfilled by POD, resulting in reliable, accurate charts at reduced overall cost. POD allows us to offer our customers highly reliable charts on very short notice.
